The tank gives producers the option of keeping IQF frozen prawns that have not been packed on stock while still processing. The tanks prevent the situation that producers need to stop peeling because of failure or unexpected stops in packing side of the factory. Even though packing needs to be stopped it is no problem to keep on peeling and freezing if factories are equipped with IQF collection tanks.
