Infeed systems
Tub handling solutions from 3X Technology are leading in the world market for tub automated handling solution. Total solution for infeeding from tubs is combined of tub rotators, tub stackers/de-stackers and tub washing. The total solutions are made from standard equipment that can be adjusted to different processing solutions fitting into different processing rooms. Good handling of raw material is the guiding light in the design of the tub handling solutions. Tubs are emptied in several steps into processing lines and the system prevents that the raw material stacks up on the processing line and the flow of raw material gets even. Experience has shown that using tub handling solutions during infeed of raw material has increased productivity between 10 and 15%. The importance of even raw material from becomes obvious when looking at the following graph. This data is the result from measurements carried out in a fish processing plant. Blue line represents the goal and the red line shows how fluctuating the flow is in reality when a manual in feeding of raw material is performed.
By using automatic de-stacking of tubs, stack of tubs can be loaded into infeed conveyor and therefore limit the usage of forklifts by approximately 60%. Straight connection to tub washing machine and tub stacking limits the usage of forklifts even more. Better treatment of tubs increases their lifetime.
